I’ve written in the past about how nature’s seasons can inspire and mirror the seasons we go through in our businesses. As we begin to move into spring, I’m once again reflecting on how my business can better align with my own natural rhythm, and how we can cultivate a more intentional environment for ourselves at all times. Specifically, I’ve been thinking about music and sound.
One small but important aspect of a productive environment are the sounds around you. As you’re working away in your office, design studio, or creative space, hearing the hubbub of the world around you can often prevent you from finding the focus you need to execute new ideas.
Sometimes you just want to throw on your headphones and be creative, and the right music and sounds can help you stay motivated and focused throughout your work week. When you’re looking to upgrade your environment, a playlist of your favorites can energize and inspire you, too! Here are some feel-good songs you can use to find your creative rhythm and work on your 2018 goals:
Malibu Man | Dan Auerbach
Wolfman | Sandro Perri
I Love You | The Bees
Cruel World | Active Child
Faded Days | Actual Wolf
Lonesome Hunter | Timber Timbre
Whatever Brings You Peace of Mind | Nassau
City Music | Kevin Morby
Inspiration Information | Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings
Runaround | Helado Negro
Down By the Seaside | Led Zeppelin
Where’d All The Time Go? | Dr. Dog
